When i book a load i use google maps and pin point the actual route I'll take from deadhead to getting the load to then going to the consignee.
I take the revenue and divide it by those miles and by that i get "all miles".
Now if i really wanted to be picky I'd use odometer miles but i can't do that until after the load is completed, i like to figure out my money as best I can at the time before starting a trip.

Idk how other companies do it but with Mercer there is a one day in orientation for a few hours devoted to showing you the basics for first timers. Then you are on your own.. The rest is common sense from what many say

Careful with that in NY. They can be kind of sneaky if you're running 87 between Albany and Champlain.

Yea ummm things must be really slow. It's Wed and it's 800 loads in Indiana.. It's usually well over 1,000:confused:

What a horrible excuse. I don't care what your job is, if you screw others because your bitter, you deserve to get canned. Find a different job if that's the problem.

I'm considering FB too, but would probably go with Mercer. Talked to LS van driver today and he said most of his freight lately has been running around 1.80, which is 1.17 after LS cut. Yikes.
