When I used to build pressure washers, our 18 with a cat pump would do 4000 with big GPM. It would cut right through a 2x4!!!
The journey begins - purchased a truck.

I used to do some pressure washing with my dad and we had a 4k psi 4 GPM and the point of having the power is to reach high places without a ladder

I had a small gas powered power washer. I had like green mold on my deck so I used that on it. I was like WOW, it's really cleaning it up. When I stopped for a second I realized I was drilling the crap out of the wood with huge ruts. I had to replace a few sections.

Two lifetimes ago, we used a high pressure water setup to remove jet blast resistant joint sealer on concrete slabs. First pass was with a plow setup on a small tractor. Then water/sand to get the remnants off the sides.
I don't know where my Dad got a hold of this thing, but it was an old Ford tractor frame cutout mounted on a skid. 4 cyl diesel driving a big cat pump. If memory serves, I think it was good for around 4,000 psi at 10 gph. Also had a sand injection nozzle with ceramic inserts. The inserts would last about a day. We'd use about a truckload of bagged sand a week when the weather would hold out. That rig would cut through concrete like butter.tsavory, Grijon, blairandgretchen and 1 other person Thank this. -
