I have seen many "good samaritans" roaming the trucks stops lately and guiding truck drivers into a parking spot. Inevitably the "helper" then goes to the truck driver and asks for money!

I do not pay these guys nor do I acknowledge them in any way. I am perfectly capable of backing my truck into a parking spot.

Yeah, I have lots of experience.. all of 5 weeks, if you count the 3 weeks I had with my trainer.

Company policy is GOAL. It's on the mirrors. Its' backwards on the trailers. It's everywhere. It's more important than "Be on Time".

Myself, I ALWAYS GOAL. I've had a couple wannabe helpers (other drivers), but I still get out and check it myself. Only one was offended, and he can kiss me where I sit.

    YEP!!!!!
the best "helper", IMO, to trust is the driver(s) of the trucks between which you are trying to park!!!:yes2557:

I had a guy help me up in Casper wy one day I was having troble seeing all of the other trucks through my mirrors. It was at the small flying hook up there. I will never stop there again.

I used all of the space in front of me and still could not get the truck straight with the trailer so he came and said need some help.
I told him yep he guided me back and he understood when I went to GOAL.
I explained that it was my butt not his if I hit something.
