3,500 miles on ELog is very doable. I have two friends that do that at least every other week. With Continental Express, I once turned in a 4,100 mile week. Of course 650 miles was from the week before. Granted, it will suck up all your 70. It also depends on the speed of your Truck too. At that time, my Truck did 68.

That sure is the perfect world then . Cause thats 500 mi a day for 7 days straight. Must be drop and hook and no type of interuption in your week.

One can drive 700 miles and do 5 days and a few hours. 500 miles a day is only less than 9-9.5 hours a day of work. Those guy I refered to are Long Distance OTR's. Mine was Regional, but that week was from Va to SLC, UT back.

Sorry I don't know that world. Since Elogs became a major deal I have never been giving the opportunity to run like that in a 65 mph truck most of these companies don't seem to have that kind frieght. Coldliner seems to cater to teams as they have solo guys relay to the teams alot. It's hard to get 2200 miles here. All my co workers are ready to leave because.of all the sitting and swapping loads.

True, the Woman in 1272 told me in my first week that all her good runs are taken and given to a Team and she had plenty of time to make the run it too. She said she never got any mile neither. She had been out for months too, she was begging to get Home to do her Taxes. I thought it strange at first. I only had one load given to a Team, it was to deliver in Dallas and a Team switched with me in MO. I got their Laredo load, which worked out good for me. They were heading Home to San Antonio, we it worked for everyone I guess. And they had been out for 10 weeks.

    Hang in there bulldog....
Unless you can't afford to work for these people...
Unfortunately these days, we drivers have to research the companies we invest in....
It sure can be rough on the driver's work history by making too many bad bets on worthless trucking companies

True, research must be done. However, when it comes to a new Company, there generally isn't anything good nor bad about them yet. Before I took the Coldliner job, I took my time, research many different Companied and nixed many off from reviews on this site.

Sad thing is, bad Companies sell out of just shut down and wait a period for the smoke to clear then reopen under a different name. By the time they reach site like this one, a few lambs have been slaughtered already. One thing I learned from all this is no matter how careful one tries to be (I took six weeks looking), there is always a Wolf in waiting. Trust no Company out there, They ALL lie!!!

    Yes I agree scar...
It's very discouraging but we can't help how they operate
All we can do is try not to let that stuff get on us and make us look like loosers while applying at prime jobs
    ...easier said than done

After this I'm pretty much done with big companies and semi small ones. I'm going to get away from the whole otr thing and go regional for a someone who has 2 or 3 trucks home every weekend. After that I'm done in this business it has changed so much that I don't even recognize it as trucking anymore. Every company lies and uses the driver for there gain. Coldliner hasn't done anything bad to me , but they lied about alot of things. I can't stay out 3 weeks for 700 a week it's just a waste of time. They promised 1100 to 1400 a week and I don't see how that is going to happen here and I'm not in the business of 700 a week.
