The journey begins - purchased a truck.

A fill hose with a ball valve shoved into the top of the gas than leading to the generator. Than another little hose with a check valve that you can pressurize the can with your mouth while you seal the top of the can opening with your hand , sealing around where the 2 hoses lead out of it and start the siphon.

I used to have to pour 200 gallons a day on a rocking boat with gas cans

Much easier and cleaner to do it this way.

When your close to topping off close the valve and pull the hoses out. Easy-Peasy

 

Back about 35 years ago, I bought a real nice Yamaha 175cc Enduro that had just been bored out and new piston for practically nothing with the same problem. I got it running, after 30 feet I new what was wrong. Pulled the jug, turned the piston around, and made good money re-selling it.

Been using the r2D2 units for the last 12 years down here in Florida to cool hot rooms in the house . Been thru 3 of them.
Yet to have one that cooled half as well as a small window unit for a 1/4 of the price.

 

Make sure you do the side windows as well. Makes a huge difference. The one I use for the windshield, I made double thick to give rigidity. The side windows I made just a little tall. I roll down the window a 1/2", insert, and roll up and they stay put.

 

It's all about airflow and air exchange. The BTU Figures don't tell the whole story.

The window shakers are very deceptive in that department also.

The problem with R2D2 is his Hose can only be so big around, combined with it being flexible creating a rough airflow is the real downfall of his design.
