If I had a couple years under my belt I could probably take that stance but it was my first load since completing training and only being at the company for a month with no previous otr experience.
Tolerance levels are going to be vastly different compared to someone who has been at it for years.

To wait a week to get reimbursed is a minor thing in the big picture... And would cement your place in the company as a problem solver and putting the customer first.
And, personally, I would not want to be waiting around twiddling my thumbs because of a "valid excuse" when I could be rolling making bank... Waiting just cause me to lose money.
I think you had the right mindset going into the problem and glad you didn't need to do it.
Good job on your first run!!!runningman0661, Lonesome and Redtwin Thank this. -
How far into Florida are you going? I have delivered down in the Keys before. I was stationed in Jacksonville and Mayport when I was in the Navy. I liked it when I was there.
Redtwin Thanks this. -
I would like The Great JohnBoys opinion on this.

Some drivers look for "viable solutions" while others look for "valid excuses"... Not meaning any disrespect to any one here, but it's two totally different mind sets... Again, nothing to do with experience.
@Redtwin ... You were looking for "solutions"
May you never out grown that mindset!!!runningman0661 and 4mer trucker Thank this. -
Redtwin Thanks this.
