Little update, been awhile since I've been on here. Walmart has been a pretty good experience so far. Been on my own for 6 weeks or so and my ADP is bout 330.00. Just got issued a 2017 Pete in my 5/2 5/3 program. I extend usually on my 3 day off week if I feel like it lol.
One thing I will say is everyone has been nice and helpful and I don't think I could ask for a better transportation mang. The only thing that sucks and keeps me thinking this may not work is my commute back n forth to work (190 miles one way) lol. Love the people out of my DC just tired of the area (been in Tx my whole life) I wanna transfer to a FL from Tx DC I think.

    drozzer69 Thanks this.

Just do a pre trip like you did for your CDL. Don't forget to check your defroster (turn it on), make sure you check that your wipers and window washer works, tri angles and fire extinguisher. If you miss them you fail.

There is no interrupting your 10. Walmart policy is IF you interrupt your 10, you have to start it all over again. The only docks you will bump is when you are at a store, which is usually a drop and hook. About 98% of your back hauls are preloaded.

Thanks FMFDoc, been going over some things in my mind. With the Co. That I'm with now, I'm on the same truck and trailer, so do a lot of looking around the truck while loading or unloading.
Just going to take my time, but not take too much time! Thanks again for the info.
Will be glad when this is all behind me.
The Lady at Hopkinsville,Ky said it could be sixty days before they start a class.
They have ten spots to fill there and don't want to have more than one class. So it could be July before that part happens.
I have met three drivers out of Hoptown on the road, would be nice if the road test was with one of them!

When you get there you will talk with human resources, this will be the last time you can add anything to your app that you forgot. Then you will meet with the safety director, and do your previous trip, backing and driving test. Then you will meet your GTM (the boss). If you get past all that you will leave with a conditional offer. Then you will be sent an email for your background check. Sit back and relax, you got it. You'll love it here!

Also, more than likely, when you pass your pre-trip and road test, you will be sent for your DOT physical and drug screen.

And the safety man will be the one to do your pre-trip and road test.

Thanks, I wasn't sure how it all worked.
Barbara( human resources) told me that they would send a form to my employer to get my records from them and they have 30 days to send it back. I have a good repour with the ladies in the office, I'm sure they will get it back ASAP! Barbara also said the other day that it may be the first of July before they start a class at Hopkinsville, so they can get the ten drivers all lined up for the class.I was hoping that it would be sooner. It will be worth the wait! Looking forward to Tuesday! Thanks

The email they send is for the criminal background check. It can take 2-3 weeks.
