owner-operator for about 8 years trying to relocate back home to jersey ive only work ports in florida and savannah ga ..did a little otr is not my thing like being home everyday at some point .would like to get into the ports in jersey any ideas or anything better then that as a option i hear crazy stories with those ports in newark..in the south we dont have those long lines to deal with , or union pricks any suggestion be appreciated i have couple weeks to decide to renew my plates and stay or take a leap of faith in north jersey ..

What year truck do you have? I do believe in March 2016, the Port Authority updated the emission regulation for trucks. You now need to a 2007 or newer tractor to begin working in the piers.

hehehe YEAH you could BUT<--that's the BIG but you have to pay for fuel plates insurance and other BS, they tag on to your pay by the time you are done you are lucky to bring home $800.00 that's if you get the miles and work everyday you could make 1600$ -minus all the BS they charge you
BUT in REALITY brace yourself for $700 to $1000 also lots a waiting at the RAILroad and make sure you get paid detention after the first hour the best part is your home everydayalso i am selling these check me out on EBAY
