    If it was 300LB .... Maybe I ....

I see the Honda 3000 handi is 100Lb.
I have an Honda 2000i. I guess I'll have to live with it, because it's "portable". But the Honda 3000i rocks. With electric start.

So basically the whole setup is safe because you have a lock and 4 bolts at the bottom of the generator to the box.
    Whoauu That's so clever.

All you can do is keep the honest, honest. Even a full blown Tripac could be pulled off the frame in the same time as Hurst's setup.

Really, do u know how heavy is that?
    Very heavy.
Plus it's 2 piece : u need the inside stuff.
It is a way more complex setup : Apple and Oranges

Its naive to believe anything you have is safe from thieves. If something of yours is targeted, there is nothing you can do. Here today,.. gone tomorrow.

My set up is no more effective than a deadbolt lock on your front door. Its only there to keep the honest people honest. To get my generator would take a bit of effort to take. Thievery is usually done by chance when an easy score is found. Not saying my generator is un-stealable. Only that I have made it time consuming to take. Something most thieves wont bother with.

And if it does get stolen,. I'll just go by another one. I am not going to dictate what I want with me on the road based on fear of having it stolen. Nothing is off limits from being stolen.

I got the idea to do my box last year after looking at yours. Works like a charm.

Personally I dont see why someone who does local needs something like a HondaEU3000i. I have mine because it makes for a much more affordable (And quieter) APU. Plus it saves me a lot of money on fuel vs when I idled all the time.

Thief is a thief. Tripack base engines for sale on craigslist all the time where I am. Among other equipment and tools of the trade. Guarantee much of it is stolen.

What do you think local is? 5-6 hours driving, and 4-5 hours waiting.
I think every truck should have one of these for many reasons....

Local could be almost anything. But its still local.

Your minimal responses and ellusive, dare I say.. almost combative retorts dont explain very much.

No offense, but you come across as an odd fella to me.
