    Tarp Patching
If you can, get a 1" wallpaper seam roller and use that to roll out the patch. Use the flattest surface you can find and if I have the time I "paint" the edges with the cement.

    Highway Sailor Thanks this.

If tarping is like wrapping a present, do you guys have special tarps for holidays and special occasions. Like tarps that say Merry Christmas and stuff.

Just stick your head in the drivers lounge and ask for help. You will have half a dozen drivers pulling out their tricks of the trade and wanting to share their info with you. Try not to be shy, you will have a great appreciation for the Mercer family afterwards.

I'm cheap, I use a wooden rolling pin from Walmart. But I also torch my patches.

You guys put too much time and effort into your patches. I don't clean it or anything. I just goop the rubber cement on both pieces, give it a minute or so to dry, stick them together, and voila. I haven't had any come off no matter how big or small the patch was.

*side note* DO NOT use the spray cement though. That aerosol can isn't worth crap, the glue doesn't hold even if you clean it first.
