    I kinda wish they'd drop the ' Trucking '
title off the trucks . It's so very misleading
    to the public.

They are outstanding as a world class
Plastics company ..... but trucks ...nope

    just sayin

Well, based on what that driver told me, it sounds like they may be reconsidering moving their products themselves. Who knows?

One thing for sure, employees are an expensive necessary evil and the minute they become unnecessary, companies usually don't hesitate to get rid of them.

If what all that driver said is true, I'd be keeping my resume updated if I were you guys.

That was a common rumor when I was there. By what one of the good guys that use to be behind the glass curtain said, the trucking part of the company was Mr. Ross senior's baby, and Mrs. Ross (mama) said that as long as she is alive, it will be a part of the company. God forbid anything happens to her because the son running the show doesn't seem to care anything about trucking. They make their money turning recycled plastic into trash bags (among other plastic products). The trucking is a tax write-off. I guess paying someone to haul stuff is better than donating that much more to the Infernal Revenue Service, so it doesn't matter who does it. And if there is no Poly Trucking, that is one less liability issue to deal with when a serious accident happens. If it's on Joe-Blow Trucking Co.'s equipment, then Poly doesn't get sued if Joe wrecks. But if it's on a Poly truck and there is a wreck, then Poly's money is in jeopardy.

    Real World Poly Update ::Earth:

Don't know if its going to become policy but Bug Bombs are
now being made available upon request to put in the Loaner trucks and set off
after you exit a loaner and before the next driver has to get in it , all this is being
done in order to assure the recent Bed Bug problems that have plagued the Loaners is
    avoided in the future.

Bug Free Loaners ! ...YAY :blob:

if the shop knows as much about bed bugs as they do maintenance your in trouble. they will end up in anyones house who has been in that truck. the people who have the biggest problems with bed bugs are the ones who know nothing about them. they can be in the fanciest hotel, but where they spread is where they are not taken care of properly. i hope it dont become an issue for you guys but i would be taking precautions to make sure they dont spread. the first thing i would put in your truck is a mattress cover. they should have covers in all the trucks after that, but we know how that goes.

Last three loaners i have been in have had NO Mattress ,i was having to pull my mattress
out of my regular truck and use it. The shop didn't have any fresh ones in stock and not sure if they were getting any new ones in. Its going got be interesting to see where all this goes. I was the only one fool enough to take a loner the other day...everyone else refused ( esp the ladies , they won't take them)

There was 3 3400+ loaners on the list the other day. All 3 were clean and had a matress. I'm in one of them now headed to the house for a week.
Usually at least a couple on the list I won't take but was surprised this time.
