Company drivers should be reimbursed for scale and lumber fees.
Late appointment fees or early appointment fees is just stealingRubberduckin Thanks this. -
First off. Are we talking about a company driver or lease/owner operator?
Secondly. Are we talking about failure to reimburse or withholding from pay or settlement?
Also, if you're talking about a crooked and small outfit then anything is possible.Rubberduckin Thanks this. -
Company Driver, Withholding from pay
-
I wish it was common practice. That way nobody would ever be a company driver and pull reefer.

Fees for appointments late and early is stealing.
If you bought a lumper and company did not reimburse after you submitted proper approval, paperwork, stealing.
Pay toll cash, turn in ticket and it's on route and company did not reimburse, stealing.
Quit. Find someone else. Preferably not reefer.
I have never been charged appt. Ive been fired and Ive been yelled at yes. But not charged.
As far as lumpers I decline loads with known lumper results. Sometimes they want to fire. And tolls are via pre-pass transponders on truck. Company WILL pay. But track your payroll anyway.Rubberduckin Thanks this. -

That's the only good thing about being a company driver.
Keep your pay stubs after you quit, and just quit now after you take the truck back to terminal, and take them to the labor board, you will get all your money.Rubberduckin Thanks this. -
For many people reefer does not suit them due to the culture that exists in our Distribution, non union and union grocery warehouses and the idea that truckers are labor slaves to be profited on.
Reefer for myself and spouse done right is a joy and it was for a whole year. ONLY because we are #### careful what we allowed on our 5th wheel.
We actually left FFE in July of 2001 because we were running 5000 to 8000 ground miles each week interchanging trailers taking so many from singles who fail to make payroll for our checks with $0.00 Are we going to sue FFE for approximately 30,000 back pay miles?
Hell no we have no time for that walk away and join another outfit as we did.bzinger and Rubberduckin Thank this.
