What a pita. Ron walked me through backing up the 3rd axle over some blocks, used the boom to lift the trailer even more, no go. We finally figured out, the top set of pins prevented the 4th axle from dropping. Removed those and then the tag axle dropped like a 50 year olds tits when you take them out of a bra.

    Blocked up the boom too

Trailking, I unplug air line to the flip axle airbags then drop the front of trailer to the ground. And if you have it, adjust leveler valve to a high setting and drop in the shims.

Hey Mac a good way to look at a system like that is just keep everything level. If the beam is level across the bottom of the beam where the airbags and suspension components fasten (you can look at the top of the beam but some beams taper so it can be deceiving) if that beam is level it will axle out right, so put you pin on level with the main beam and you'll be fine. Sometimes you have to raise the goose neck to get it level, this come into play more often with a beam where the load is concentrated in a shorter span of the trailer. That's where a modular bogie is nice because you can shim the rear.

I forgot the boom cylinder touching. That tube doesn't protect the cylinder it's the cylinder barrel. If you deny it it will rub a flat spot on the cylinder head and send metal shavings through the system. Never rest the stick on the cylinder barrel.

I wonder if he hit the guardrail on the right side. That looks like a 10 though so I would have guessed it would just wipe out the guardrail just because of the weight of the tractor. Oh, wait a minute, just one stack, maybe it is a 9, or 10N. It looks like axle-wise is more than needed for a 9.
