I'm afraid those days have come and gone. With HOS rules,E-LOGs and bunch of other BS nowadays truck drivers aren't as valued as they used to be.

 

I would have thought that the admin of Stevens Fedbook page would he more on the ball. Anyone with a bit of Photoshop skill can take that meme template and put anything on it. Like 25% of Stevens drivers are felons or don't wash their hands after they poo. If it's from the internet, time to pit your thinking caps on!

Hell yes. And companies used premium equipment to use a word choice to lure the strongest truckers to them. I thought I was fast. There were some custom Cats out there 150 plus. Detroit did a #### good job with the 500 and a rockwell 9 plus a fuel pump that wont quit.

Until it finally did, seems the little o rings do wear under enormous pressures I imposed on them. But by gawd, that top end jump they do from 106 to 115 plus before the pump quits after being starved by a governed computer routine.

 

The 318 Detroit started out like a bicycle, but once it got going you better get out of its way. Lol

 

I agree. The TA in Montgomery use to be Gowens truck stop and it had a reputation of getting anything you wantef
