Broker loads.

Arrived at Goodwill in Newcastle DE 0800, backed into door, checked messages that just dropped into QC like 10 minutes ago.

This load was cancelled and I have another load assignment. A good one. Except they're already loading me here.

Waiting to hear back from dispatch.

 

I was stuck overnight because of a trailer repair that houred me out, and the broker jumped the gun and cancelled the load but I didn't hear about it til I was getting loaded. Neither did the shipper (they had no idea there was a problem).

Sitting in Kenly NC delivering tomorrow (drop in Charleston SC), then pick up in Summerville headed somewhere in CT 0630 Tuesday morning.

Might be another visit with my parents in my future....

 

Pintlehook, my stress levels way down and my health is improving. There are problems, sure (it's trucking) but the staff is on point when it comes to driver support. There are issues but they are minor.

 

Some troll is trying to flame me on FB...an old friend posted a comment about Hillary and this other guy replied with a long (horribly spelled and grammatically atrocious) paragraph about Trump's business failures. I seldom get involved in these discussions but this one hit a nerve so I took a breath and simply corrected the three most glaring spelling errors then asked the guy how many people Trump had gotten killed and why Trump supporters didn't riot in the streets at Clinton rallies.

His responses (plural) have been insults at me, threats to me, calls for me to kill myself, finger pointing at Trump, calls for Trump's death, and more. Still waiting for an answer to my questions (which have been ignored). I've had several dealings with Clinton supporters that went much the same way (one in person that turned violent when the guy shoved me--he regrets that decision).

Before I became a Trump supporter, I asked a few strangers why I should trust a guy who's been bankrupt so many times and does business the way he does with the helm of this nation. Each time I got a considered, reasoned response. Not always super convincing, but they were willing to talk and had at least some idea why they support the man.

This is not a political thread so I won't go into detail about that right now. This is just to illustrate my contrasting experience with the conservative vs the liberal crowd. I know it's a pretty small cross section, but I'm just one guy and don't trust the major media outlets much.

Now back to FB to see what else the mouth breathing rage monster has to say (mind you, I haven't said anything except "You still haven't answered my questions."). Last I saw he told me to drink a gallon of bleach and make the world a better place.
