I'm sorry that you had so much debt in med bills, the system sucks that way. Glad you were able to keep the house and that it worked for you.

All of the companies I have worked for in the last 13 years grossed me better, and had lower deductible, and cheaper insurance coverage...that's right, ALL. Even the micomanaging mecca known as Crete grossed more, including the recession of '08. Not that I am saying that they were problem free, but right now, trading a little micromanagement for a better paycheck and reliable equipment is VERY appealing.(the last 2 had equipment problems out the wazoo, but still grossed and netted more)

As for a definition of better, a company that can keep me rolling over 10k a month on average, and where I can make enough to pay my monthly bills. As of the end of June, neither are true here. And now, this truck (including the APU) is going down the same road as the last 2 company's trucks... As in, get over 75k miles, and struggle to pass a dealership without pulling in for repairs.

I think you may have pissed in someone's oatmeal. My average miles are 12 k a month, even spending a week home a month.

As for the Insurance it is high. Insurance goes up every year. I think the problem here is the state the insurance is bought in.

As for vehicle problems, they are going to happen. Especially when you are using said vehicle as much as we do!

As of 7/1, I am averaging 9700/month...and that just went up a little because my June was one of my biggest months since I hired on, and it juuuust cleared 11k.

As for equipment issues, I'm not talking wear related parts, I am talking pizz poor design and assembly problems. I had less issues out of the last truck I owned that was approaching 900k than this one at 78k. I know, the equipment of today is a lot more complex, but with the upcomming shop time I have in my immediate future, I will be lucky to see 8k this month.

Schedule it and ask for a loaner truck. Don't do it until you get a loaner.

After using loaners at Poly, that word is now considered foul language. The one repair (the cam replacement) they could have done on my home time, but they didn't. It almost seems as though they want to park me to get it done...but the shop operates the same here as anywhere else, unless you are in their face about it, their A.D.D. kicks in and they forget about it 2 minutes after they hang up the phone or close the e-mail

Lol I'm lucky I normally schedule service when I'm on hometime...don't get me wrong I get permission, but I set up the appointment and just relay on Fargo for the PO. Makes life somewhat easier.

Unfortunately I'm staying out forever this summer and my first PM is due and I need a visit to Peterbilt for some warranty work so Fargo here I come.

On the bright side I get to visit every single drivers favorite receptionist in Huntersville tomorrow.
