Yes sir, I understood that it was for our very own SaltWater Sportsman, however it was very fitting for WINNYF1 since he has apparently fallen into the NC to ND lane.

Sitting in Hugo, OK at the Choctaw Casino. Have a delivery in Paris Scheduled for the 13th, called and tried to get it rescheduled, no luck. Gonna check in in the am anyway and see what happens.

SSB, you might wanna look very carefully at insurance costs for a prospective employer. I have a couple of friends paying $250 per WEEK and more for a family of 4. I'm getting 10k+ pretty consistently, sometimes up to 11kish or a bit more and I've had more downtime with maintenance issues than I am happy with.

You have way more experience and I presume you're a LOT better driver than I am. Maybe time to look at what you're doing that might be contributing?
Not trying to bust your balls, but a guy like you should be running rings around a guy like me.

cdavis188, Pigbacon, txtodd and 2 others Thank this.

Been debating posting this, but to heck with it:

I cannot set up for a straight back to save my life. I can 45 or 90 all day long, but I can't seem to set up for a straight back. Don't get me wrong, I make it happen, but I always set it up wrong, and have to jack the trailer.

I'm clearly doing something wrong, but absent 100 feet from nose line+ to maneuver, I ALWAYS do it wrong.

Feel like an idiot posting this, but I'm sick of doing it wrong and having to correct for what should be effortless backing.

    School me please.

I'm not too sure Crete micromanages us too much anymore, maybe the fuel stops? But I love the Pilots and the ShowerPower. I rarely top the tanks at a Loves, as I hate the Loves.
I didn't hear a peep about running the lower route past home this trip (about 25 extra miles)
And I have the Stockholm Syndrome real bad, I still miss the daily random messages if I can deliver on time, those used to make me scream like a loon, this new gal didn't even ask if I was good for delivering at 17:00 , even though I was at home 140 miles away and didn't leave til around 10:00

250 per week, is that other trucking companies or other lines of work as well, and are these cadillac gold plans with low deductibles? Everything is expensive anymore, insurance just one of those necessary evils i guess.

that's why I am so confused, I do the same things as those that are rolling miles here do, go the same places, keep dispatch informed as to availability as soon as I know when, where, and how much time I'll have. I limit my hometime to every other month since it's such a PITA for dispatch to find me a load reasonably close to home, I push each load hard to maximize my available time...but yet I can't get over 10k on a consistant basis. Maybe @Pigbacon was right, maybe I pizzed someone off...who knows, and at this point who really cares. I don't know why I spouted off recently on here, I know it does no good. At this point, I will simply ride it out until I depart, Magnum can put another driving school student in my empty truck, and who knows...maybe they'll be a better fit for the company than I am. Frankly, I honestly don't give a rat's arse about how things go here at Magnum anymore. Run me, don't run me...it won't change my mind, coming here has truely been one of the biggest disappointments of my career, and soon it will be history. Thanks to all who have tried to help and given advise. I tried, I failed. Sometimes you just have to pick up the pieces and move on.

I'll step back and be quiet now, no sense in pissing into the wind any more. Later ya'll

I am paying $240 each check for $3000 deductible insurance for just my wife and I. Last company had $80/week with $0 deductible. When I left Crete almost 3 years ago, it was around $80/week for $1500 deductible for us 2 with limited vision coverage on me...

Yeah having such a small pool of participants and being based in North Dakota really hurts us vs other companies. It's definitely unfortunate.

Remember about health care. Obama care. Your premiums will go up, no matter what. It is a version of socialize medical coverage. Cheap insurance? No more.
