Well, well, well. I am told that this is the new oil field. Took a Conoco safety class and you bring your own lunch. Ok. Hauling crude again just over a month. Put in 70 hours last week and I grossed $ 1300.00. A third of what I was paid just 12 months ago. I am averaging $ 1250/week. Left an LTL job in Nevada paying 1200-1500/week for 4 days. It looks like the rates now are were they will be for the next 12-18 months. I will let you know the company after I get another 4 weeks in. (I think I am going the wrong direction here).

$1,300 gross for 70 hours. That's under $20 per hour. That's very disappointing to hear.

Guys that work for MBI out of Nunn Colorado are averaging between $300 and $450 per shift as of a couple days ago hauling crude and home everyday.

Well here is an update from the oil field. I left the company that I hired on with in June. (Lunderby Trucking) Was told 350-400 per day. Turned out to be 180-250/day, on a good day. My last day I grossed 186 and it took 13.5 hours. (That's 13/hour for all of you keeping score. By the way, Walmart is still hiring at 15/hr) From all of my inquiries, hauling crude in ND is going to pay about 200-250/ day if you do not exceed your hos. After the election, who knows. Some people bought homes here in Watford, so they are stuck right now. Twin Eagle in Jal NM is hiring 5/2, 5/3, 250/day, 40/day per diem and free housing. CHS in ND, 200-250/day. Lunderby water guys are doing about 360/day if you want to go that route. For me, I am done with the oil field for now, got an interview tomorrow not oil field related. Fire away with any questions.

I can speak directly about my company & for sure our water drivers are now making more then I am as an Oil hauler & are steady with work & even just about all the water drivers I trained to come to oil eventually went back to water because of oil wages dropping + water driver in our area not sure of all areas but the a lot of the disposals have FOOD there for the drivers haha I've been tempted to sneek in & snatch some chocolate haha as far as sand I have seen more sand cans running around lately!!!!

The water guys were only getting 270/day(after being promised 350/day) and 8 walked off the job. They then raised the rates (that we were told were locked in for 12 months) and that is why they are at 360/day. It may or may not last.

I think I'll stick with my cushy day job until diesel goes back up to $4.50 a gallon.
Hopefully by then my ex will have gone off the deep end and lost her parental rights which would allow me and the kids to come back to North Dakota and let me go back to work
