Actually 200 LTD and 300 LTL/Dedicated, but who's counting

 

But they rely on training to keep butts in the seats. If you can't attract enough experienced drivers to replace the one's leaving so you have to train your own...your a training company. That doesn't mean that's all they do, but there are companies out there that don't train...period.

 

I did 30 days since my CDL had long ago expired, my poor trainer gave up training after putting up with me though

 

Even worse then. The company needs 4 additional trainers for a 200ish truck fleet...that statement says it all.

And the reason I said 300 ish is because on one of the permits we just got it said under 300 units (and it was a permit issued to LTD )

 

They said they were adding trainers to grow.

It's hard to keep drivers. Not all ppl are happy being out here like we are.

 

Actually we keep a mix to help control costs...newbies for the first 6 months get paid considerably less, then factor in not all of them crash and voila you have higher profits.

Our trainee requirements are increasing as in the amount of time they want you to put in at a CDL school, I may not have made the cut lol although my school was more of a refresher. From what I take away from my conversations we will always have a mix of experienced drivers and newbies.

You should visit corporate sometime, man I felt like a grandpa the last time I was there with all of the young staffers running around.
