if you are an owner operator. and you have a reefer or dry box. you can put the cameras in the trailer. and watch your lumper fees go down. like i said, do your resarch.

You shouldn't need cameras to see your blind spots. A couple hood-mounted convex mirrors should suffice. I'd like to know about camera systems for the sake of covering my ### when it comes to potential collisions.

I worked for a wrecker company that had a large KW straight truck tandem axle roll back with a rear camera and a 10" screen that constantly showed what was behind me.

It was annoying as heck. I never used it bc the kW was a day can with a rear window. More a hindurance than a help.

I can't imagine the set up costing more than $100 bc the guy who bought it won 2nd place in the cheapest sob ever contest.

What you looking for is something like a dvir system multi cameras. It is not cheap and require some drilling and wiring unless u don't want it to look nice.

    Lol.

He won a wrecker service running five trucks with air brakes and zero drivers with an air brake endorsement. It will bite him on the arse one day. He can only have those kids running scales and hauling steel and equipment for so long with zero securement training before something very bad happens.

I won 1st place and my prize was walking away from his questionable schenanigans. To this day, I feel dirty for ever having driven for that guy. He makes Mickey Mouse look like Bill Gates.
