The cap is 9 hours. Only a few times I've sat like that but I was paid layover with Max detention. Sat 32 hours once. Max detention and got layover x3. That was a 2320 3 stop load. $1800 run week that week all because the first stop screwed up lol.

How much is the layover, and why did you get 3?

You get what you get lol. I got this truck because I wanted an auto. Freights are autos but my ####### should've took the manual Pete with the door on the side. Stupid move by me

    Dave_in_AZ Thanks this.

You live close to there than? I am trying to get out thete, cause I ve never seen a desert. Just curious whats out there. Ive been bugging my dispatch about western runs, but no luck so far. Thats kind of thr point I switch to OTR to see the country, not drive around the samr states.

When I was searching high and low for a real L/P over a year ago ( giving up my local job ), I spoke to A LOT of people. I thought the girl I talked to at Marten was definitely one of the most honest recruiters I had ever spoken to. I told her I wasn't interested in a company position. She even told me do not do a L/P at Marten, it's just too difficult. She said more of the company drivers do better than the L/P's, just because they have very stringent standards on the tractors.
I thought that was OK though. Someone that was up front, and just didn't pound sunshine up your ###. She was very interested in me, I guess they need drivers domiciled in Phoenix.

Phoenix is a decent terminal with nice runs. I'll be there around labor day.
