I've never pulled 10'1" spread tandems(or any other tandem) before starting here. When you're backing up, they like to pivot on either axle at any given time, making it a bit of a pain to back up lol. Figured they'd be just like a tridem set when backing but nope.

    Probably a Dumb Question.....

But why are these trailers outlawed ??

Here in Australia they're as common as rsoles...

99% of all grain & the vast majority of sand/gravel would be transported in them as well.......

I'll change the subject here a bit... Trailers that separate men from boys?

Any flatdeck, with a load that needs tarping. In the winter. With two 100 pound tarps. Climbing around on a load of whatever crap, with a stiff 100lb tarp.

Of all the trucking I've done, this truly has to be the worst thing for a driver.

    Zeviander and Macneil Thank this.

    Baaaahhhhhh ....... give me a break ...... that's easy .......

...... now if you add in the gale force wind and the wind chill ...... well then we can talk !

    LOL

    :D

Joking aside, you're right .... I always loved deck work and OD ..... I hated tarping .... even an easy load of lumber .... in the summer .... I just didn't like to tarp.

70' stretched out trailers hauling sections of rail for our mass transit project. No beacons, no OD signs. Just 4 HPD escorts blocking traffic to get them around a 45 degree corner. FABULOUS! Didn't mind waiting for nice maneuvers.
