While serving time at K&B, I came upon a driver clearing out his truck. He had been fired. I asked him why? He said he had hit a bridge in Chicago and I asked him if that bridge was listed in the instructions for his delivery. He told me no. So I being the type who fights for others headed up to confront the person who fired him. It seems anyone can fire a driver at K&B. It was just a dispatcher who fired him. So I got right into the dispatchers face and demanded to know why he was fired when there should have been warnings in the instructions.
That's when I found out the other side of the story. He wasn't fired for hitting the bridge, he was fired for threatening to cut up the dispatcher and throw her into a ditch. -

I know people say jokingly to floor it but how many lowboy drivers have floored it to get over some high RR tracks? I know I have. Once you are committed you've got to go.

Don't pull a Swift and try and do a U-turn.
Stop.
Back up.
And if you can't back up without help, call the police, they will gladly dispatch someone to help stop traffic and get you out of there. Whatever they make an hour isn't nearly as much as repairs to the bridge.texasbbqbest and misterG Thank this.
