This is the one east coast I like. You can go past delivery point and go to strip mall wnd park so you can stock up on groceries
There is a big lots and grocery store and several restaurants. Then park at customer and get unloaded quickly'

Good to meet you as well. I was off my game a bit, when you asked if I was snackbar, my normal smart-ace reply would have usually been..."maybe, depending on who's asking"

Had you talked to me after it was decided to not do the "A" service there because they didn't have the filter, and couldn't get one right away, you would have had a totally different opinion of me being a nice guy. If I would have just said no and hauled arse, I would have had time to make it to Walcott, get the service done there, and even had the truck washed. But, now I have 2 full days of running to do and no time for a service...period. It has only added more to my DGAFF feelings about Magnum.

Yes, I am fluffy, and getting fluffier working here. I have gained over 20 lbs in my 9 ish months. Mostly from snacking while sitting and waiting. And snacking to stay awake from all the day-to-night-to-day shift changes (in a single week) that reefer freight requires. In my youth, it wouldn't have been an issue, but now that I am older, it's getting tougher to adapt as quickly.

Sorry I didn't post earlier...I tried. Had a big ole' post typed out, hit the post button and got an error. My avatar was there, my user name was there, but the forum seemed to think I wasn't signed in (even though I signed in). When I hit the refresh, my avatar and user name disappeared as well as half of what I had just typed...so I chucked the phone on the dash and said f' it.

I've been using the built in GPS in the truck. I thought it was good enough. It was getting me to where i needed to be. I didn't think i needed to buy a GPS.

But the guy/nerd in me was like "you know you want a brand new, shiny GPS. You know you do! Go ahead and buy one! You know you hate this one freezing up when you need it most!" the voice has been nagging me for weeks.

So i bought a rand mcnally tnd 730.

Wow! My parking locating abilities are gonna be so much better now!

It's so much faster! When i click things, it loads in about a second. Not 5 to 10 seconds.

I can look for places to stop along my route, not just within a 200 mile radius of my current location! Plus i can find places to stop by distance from my destination.

Places show up that don't show up in the built in gps.

The speed limit isn't wrong 90% of the time.

The screen is so crisp and clear.

    I'm in love.

Good for you, the newer 80 series 16's and 17's have the new co-pilot system vs Garmin and it works a lot better. Good for you, now just keep it updated and you'll be good to go!

    Cheers

The best reason to have your own gps is all your bookmarks stay with you when you switch trucks.
