Remember to take it slow : slow is smooth, smooth is fast.
When you never been to a place - ALWAYS get out and look , and or never go head first ;)
over hang is not a joke... between them cables and trees .. don't be afraid to drive like a Brit.

    good luck to you !

    brtecson and lcfd15 Thank this.

Indeed. If you're running P&D with a long box, you need to consider the possibility of being faced with the decision of "back in or walk in first". Anything beats backing out on to a busy road.

Watch the phone lines too if pulling a high cube trailer. Sometimes you have to hang out on the side of the road where the poles are.

That's cool, I'm a firefighter on the only volunteer department in the county here.

Good deal. At my new job I am up to $25 hr now. Way better than OTR and regional deals.

Today I wandered into the "Ladies Room" section of this forum never been there before and while it was a day late and a dollar short I told a female driver who was fairly new advice very similar to what you just posted and trust me I don't have all the answers ha-ha. Last coaching trip I had we were pulling into a lot and my boss said to me "Watch the wires..."

On the same lines, if you know what your stops are before you leave, ask someone about the stops you don't know. If that driver doesn't know personally, they can direct you to a driver who may have run that area before to help.

That's subjective. There are things money doesn't buy. What good is a fat paycheck if you're miserable earning it?
