Solo was like $2,400- $2,800 after costs working a full week.
Would stay out 3-4 weeks and take a week off.
For team I planned on each driver working within two 12 hour shifts.. aiming for 550 miles a shift per driver.
Doing that 6 days for 6600 miles and taking a reset.
Aiming for $1.30 all miles that's $8,580 gross. Bare in my most all loads are long and drop/hook
That's what my general goal that I figured I would aim for.
Anyway figure fuel at 7.5 mpg at $2.20 plus DEF say $2,000 a week
Truck payment is going up $314 a week, maintenance account another $100.
I'm getting $5000 bonus for switching over to team paid out over 6 months.
So for now i figure thats pretty much an extra $250 a week. That factored in weekly costs goes up an extra $164 a week... for 6 months then that changes.
Sooo that overall should put me around $1268 each week factoring everything in including the bonus I'm getting paid
So $8580 -$2000 in fuel -$1268 = $5312
Take that amount and figure whatever would go to your co driver then yourself.
Lets just say $1,700 to the driver with taxes and everything then that leaves you $3,600.
Or about $1000 or so more per week than I'd normally earn.
That's a for instance and what i planned/aimed for.
Real world is differently obviously and I'm currently a noob on this board figuring things out.
Tuesday literally at 00:00 through today currently we've done 4840 miles and revenue is currently $7068. So like $1.46.. and got about 4 hours driving time left do to today but there's zero loads around within 200 miles around me rest of the weekend and after that it's all crap soo i dunno what I'm going to do yet.
Another thing is my codriver wants to work all the time, sooo I can dispatch the driver while I'm off of work. I'll make a little bit of money doing that better than a sitting truck I'm paying $1300 a week on.
Overall i think i can earn an extra $4,000+ a month doing this.. that is at least for 6 months then that team bonus is bbye.
Plus it's something different, it's been fun so far. Nice not having to do 2-3 loads a day in my one shift running in the same circles. I did well doing it but it sucks and got boring.CaptainDaveG Thanks this. -
Trying to sell the Viper and next is the house as well. Stuff is nice but i dont like the payments for things I'm rarely in lolscythe08 Thanks this. -

We have to a lot more deadhead more because they barely put any loads on the team board.Cledus Snow Thanks this. -

For example there was a load to Michigan i looked into this week but then saw there was ZERO loads in Michigan all week. That's just ridiculous -
