    Hello everyone,

I'm a long-time lurker here, but this is my first post on the forum. I've been a company driver for CRST since November of 2015, and I'm a little over a week away from my 10-month mark. I am a contract student, graduating from NADTA in the early part of November.

What I'd like to ask you is what happens once you reach the 10-month mark? I have been on hometime for about 6 days now, and I haven't been able to get a response from my driver manager since I was on the truck. I'm asking because if the 25th rolls around and I've been at home then I am going to try and make the switch I've been planning to for a few months. I've had gaps between co-drivers before, two of which were about a week in length. I would like to know if anyone has had any problems with their contract because of situations like these, or if extended hometime is rolled into the overall contract length?

    Thanks for any information.

    Dave_in_AZ Thanks this.

I haven't made it yet. I still have 9 days. The thing is that I was told by the operations manager I had to be on a truck on my last day and my driver manager will not answer the phone. I've been calling for 3 days and even hung up a sign at the terminal asking for another codriver.

Lots. Or you can hang around for 2 more months, hit the magical year mark and then lots more will hire you.

They do need watching, keep after them to get another co-driver to complete the contract.

1 more question for you, do you have a copy of the contract?

Nobody used to get a copy of the contract, maybe a receipt for signing it is all.
