What are your store times? 1400 & 1600? We're given something short on go home day and by the time we get back the stores are just beginning to unload the trailers so can't really bring the store another trailer and expect to make it back by the end of the day.

What's the deal with the sleep disorder deal? Where they make you take a sleep study test. Is this before they can hire you??

I'm sorry it's called Sleep apnea test to see if you got it. I don't think I have it but do they make you take this before hire?

If your neck is more than 18" and/or your BMI is above 30, yes, you need to be tested for apnea, on your time and your dime. If you haven't been tested, and you are outside of those parameters you will only be given a 30 day medical card, and you must have at least a 1 yr to continue along the hiring process. I was told some DC's will pay for the testing, but mine did not.

If I get setup on a long run late on my 4th day I'm good, but if I'm at the DC on the 4th night can almost count on being home early! I'll usually sleep in then if the Roc already sets me up on a load so when I get done with that there'll usually be a short hop somewhere before calling it a week. I've tried different end of week times from 2300 to even in the early morning of the next day, but always seem to have the same results. Win/win no matter what happens. The option to extend is always there, but I'm done on the 5th day.

Ok I just got off the phone with sleep solutions and I'm going to be tested tomorrow it will cost me 450 bucks!! But it takes money to make money right! And my road test is on October 17 so I should have enough time! Thanks my friend.

On first day of your work week, tell them to extend your week to 11 or 12 noon on day 6. I seem to get better dispatches and by the end of day 4, I can decide to actually extend or to go home on schedule. You just adjust your hours left on 70 to get them to get you to home DC when you want.

You just short yourself hours when you send in those final ETD's? I see that working, though I'm on a program and don't want to get caught in something where I'll risk getting the truck back in time.
