Guess its better he found out now that he cant handle being gone. Hate it for you cause of the load but thats life.
Hope the next student has figured it out before he gets on your truck.

Sorry to hear that, had one do it in Amarillo TX once, then he wanted me to pay his way home. LOL, had another do it to me after driving/training for a week in Reno, NV. Same deal, both got home sick.

My worst student didn't last 48 hours. His mommy called crying missing him and begged him to come home because he has never been away from home before in his life. Yep, he went home after that phone call.

I am in Lakeland Florida waiting on Publix to off load 7 pallets so I can then make it to my 90 in Sarasota to get the remaining 5 pallets off loaded. My first stop this morning in Orlando was a joke. 5 pallets, 7am appt and I didn't leave until 9am. I check in and was told they will bring the paperwork out to me when they are done. They come out and tell me I need to pay the lumper :biggrin_25512:. I was like WHAAATT! No one said jack sheet about lumpers or asked if I would do the breakdown myself. Nothing. Oh I was :angryfire:. Then the guy at the receiving told I should have known because that's how every place is like. Then the supervisor shows up and tells me I really should have known and need to make my intentions clear next time. Like it was my fing fault his staff assumed I was going to use a lumper! Yeah, I have realized I hate Florida. This is my first time down here and most likely my last!!!

Turns out that the APU continues to have issues from a crappy install. It wasn't low on freon, but had something out of adjustment that was causing it to freeze up. Either way, fixed now.
Me and the new victim are eastbound on 44 headed to KY.
