Agreed! I just had microwaved scrambled eggs, sliced tomatoes, toast, and of course fresh ground bean coffee made in my Aeropress.

Does everyone know how easy it is to scramble eggs in a microwave? Put eggs in bowl, mix (Add a shot of milk if you like), microwave for less than a minute, voila.
I also have a microwave egg poacher. Just as simple. Put half a tbsp water in each side, add two eggs, microwave to taste, and you have the best poached eggs ever.
And a rice cooker. 15 minutes for perfect rice every time. Add a dollar can of black beans, shake on some Tapatio, that's dinner. Tastes best when you are snowed in along the side of the road...Attached Files:

Not sure about micro eggs though
Waggledaddy Thanks this. -
With all we are exposed to daily as truckers, diesel fumes, etc, the whole microwave is bad argument just never took hold with me...
Try it, you'll like it!Last edited: Sep 25, 2016

Nothing to do with radiation. More to do with taste and texture

I make omelettes in the 12v lunchbox. Scrambled is a little dicey since I use foil to line it and scrambling gives a good chance of some extra aluminum with breakfast.
Also, it'll boil noodles, cook bacon... and everything in between.
Microwave... wouldn't it be something to have such luxuries....SingingWolf, 91B20H8 and workingklasshero Thank this. -
oh boy, I do a lotta cooking in my truck. Got a 700 watt microwave fridge/freezer, crockpot, George Foreman small size grill, toaster. Use my crockpot a lot in the Fall/Winter months. Pull into Walmart like every 7 to 8 days restock , but I always have a variety, especially produce. I'll make Speghetti, Chicken or Beef Tacos, Chili, Beef Stew, Chicken Soup, Ham/Egg/Cheese Bagels, Garden Salad with a variety of croutons, etc. Keep a small bag of patatoes so I have baked patatoe, I mean the things you can make are almost endless and many times dont take you more then 25 mins to put all together, and you eat healthy, where ever you wanna park, save time n money, etc. Like my crockpot I let it cook while driving or overnight on a break, 8 hrs on low, 4 hrs on high, also c an turn to warm up to 4 hrs. Only thing I won't cook on my truck is fish, that I do outside with a cord plugged into inverter or at a rest area cook area outside. Otherwise it's good, been cooking this way a good many years.

Those of you that cook with a crock pot, how do you keep it from bouncing around while you're driving?
mickimause and gentleroger Thank this.
