New to the forum...

Hey yall, new guy here. Just wondering if anybody in oil field is hiring, I'm needing work pretty bad. Little bit about myself, I am 28 year old white male, clean cut dependable, motivated and honest. Grew up on a small farm/ranch.Served four years in the Army with deployments to both Afghanistan and Iraq (have all discharge papers to verify). When I came back I was a reserve police officer for a small department in eastern Oklahoma but resigned six months later after finally realizing that we mostly harassed people instead of actually helping. (have paperwork to verify). I am also currently a Volunteer Firefighter (full time certified in OK though) and an EMT. Not giving my whole #### life story but just some background information that might be helpful. I really don't have any patience for being lied to or ripped off & won't tolerate my employer putting me in a situation where I would have to lie to cover their ###. I stick to the book. So, if potential employers could respect that, it would be appreciated.

I've been over the road flatbed & reefer. Hauled #### loads of cattle from SD to OK, OK to CO.
Have experience with:
Flatbed
Stepdeck
Lowboy
Pneumatic
120 bbl VAC tankers
Oversize

I have all my endorsements and TWIC security clearance, Passport card and US Customs security clearance (global entry)
HAZMAT, TANKER, DOUBLE, TRIPLE
Current on medical card and all of that, I'm legal and ready to go.

If it can be pulled, I can pull it. Currently in OK but wouldn't mind relocating for a good job if need be. I'd consider going over the road again. Would really prefer to stay away from the mega carriers.

I got laid off in March, company I was working for was having to sell off equipment to keep the bankers happy. Oil field slow down. Took a job welding since then.

Good to hear that yall have a good support structure going here where drivers can network. I really like the site, I've been coming here for a while and used the site practice tests and quizzes. They helped me pass my HAZMAT/double triple test the first time, great information and resources here!

 

LOL yeah most of them are corrupt. Lord knows our Chief, Mayor and City Council were. Jeez
