Bungees, young one, bungees. Don't use straps, they don't have the elasticity. Use two bungee cords so when it moves forward they will just pull it back in place instead of snapping.

I am pretty sure that the weight of the coil will hold it in place. Not sure what the big deal is. An object at rest tends to stay at rest unless propelled by an outside force. Dat Newton's Law tho.

Just finished at the Springfield Missouri C1 Trucking school. OMG...5 weeks, but finished. I'm supposed to head somewhere for october 17 Orientation, then securement class. They first said KC,...but left message to call her because THAT is not correct if i'm wanting flatbed. Guess it has to be one of the three flatbed hubs. I tried to call back, but got voice mail. I did have a question though. I was told i would get $100 for orientation, BUT i wouldn't get until first week with mentor. I'm guessing if i'm flatbed,... i go from orientation right to securement class for a week,..correct? Is THAT paid at all? It would be pretty crappy if you go a week in class,....as a Swift employee, for securement,.....and get no money. I just went 5 weeks in CDL school with only my wifes income and it's a struggle. Any other info what to expect would be loved as well. Thanks for all the answers you've given me in the past! Oh,...and before i get asked about Melton,... i TRIED Maverick and Melton before Swift. I now have a $5700 school bill( and housing) i owe swift. Doubt i can find a company to cover THAT....lol

But you can make more money at other companies to offset reimbursement which is very low and long.

If you DONT go with Swift,.... they want ALL of that money NOW,...all $5700 or whatever. If not, collection agency. I do not need more problems. Im trying to dig out now. This isn't even a question. Im staying for awhile...at least. Im midwest regional...the triangle. Its a great route. I did hear im going to rochelle Ill for orientation for 3 days,...then 2 days of flatbed training in Gary Indiana I didnt get to ask if the flatbed training is paid though. It SHOULD be...im a actual employee at that point

I was told by the Swift academy head today that if you leave Swift and you still owe, just came for the CDL, they will say you didn't graduate when the company calls to verify your experience...

That you didn't receive a certificate of completion is of little issue to all but the mega's. Everyone knows swifts deal...

Well then explain the cdl in your hand lol

If you leave right away, there's no experience to verify.

But honestly swift isn't the worst company out there...

I didn't graduate from the Swift Academy,...they sent me to Springfields Mo. C1 Truck driving school. Any idea on what securement class is paid?
