Sounds like some dam or levy broke around the I95 flooded areas so it might be an issue through the weekend. I just came through and I95 was closed in two sections between I74 & Wilson, NC with I40 closed south of Wilson.

On the way, spoke to another driver and his company was advising their drivers to take the following route (see photo below) and that's what I did... it's pretty good road all the way through too. Obviously further so plan accordingly and subject to change as well.

This route missed the two closings on 95 and the one closing on 40 ... I74 is closed east of I95 as well.

 

I usually take 65 up to chicago, as we have a regular delivery up that way.

 

Cartographer, and he has never drawn one for me.

 

My son lives in Lafayette and 65 goes right through there , night be a good stop !

 

You can't just not tell us. Inquiring minds want to know.

 

If the charge was only $135, I bet the electrician did nothing more than bang on the breaker box with his fist a couple times.

 

Was the detour highway driving or some areas of stop and goes?

 

If he ever does, have him sign it for you too.
Might be worth something some day.

 

John's curling iron fell into the bathtub and short circuited half the house.

 

Hit a few small towns but other than that it was pretty smooth driving... but remember, I was traveling that section from like 8pm to midnight.

Personally, I would certainly take it again should I be given a load heading south out of Richmond... if you are coming further West then there are a few other interstates that then come into play.
