Could be have no clue , there has already been a couple pilot programs though with different manufactures .

I run my own camera anyways as do a lot of drivers. I can't imagine being without it at this point.
I am against driver facing cameras which in my opinion I doubt we will see. Guess we will learn as we go .

Here's the #### deal guys, you voice your opinion about this stuff and cause a big uproar even if you're new here. Some of you just been driving a few years at Swift or whatever outfit that babysat drivers with every safety device possibly but most of us have been out here for years without camera, without sleep apnea machines and haven't killed anyone yet. Once this junk is ordered and put in the trucks, it's not coming out.

The lane departure is one thing, but having to fill out critical events for hugging a fog line is another. Walmart needs to treat us like the driving professionals they tell us we are, not add a bunch of big brother junk to the trucks like we're fresh out of school.

What we were told is if they are driver facing, Walmart would not have access to the video, unless you were in an accident. That the company who provides the cameras would be the only one to be able to see the video, and then it would be on a continuous loop and only save video as if you had a critical event.

As far as I know they have done sway with critical events associated with the lane changing device. At least that's what I was told at our DC . I have a old truck so no clue lol

I haven't seen anyone #####ing about it for a month now so you could be right. When there's so many distracted cars passing us every day it's complete BS that we'd have to fill out a critical event for protecting the company's equipment by hugging the fog line.

Your parts are correct for 75 that still have it active why they do a study on seeing how they can fix it and make it better. All the trucks that are active critical event recording on Lane departure alert are in region 1. Each of the California DCS have 25 truck each that are still active

I agree with you , it's not fun like it was 20 years ago. Just like the cell phone policy it ain't preventing accidents just getting drivers fired. But it's their game and we have to play by their rules . It's still a great job I love working here but doesn't mean I agree with everything.

That's still not cool and hard to trust their word on it not being used to view whenever. I wouldn't mind a forward facing camera, but towards the driver is invading my privacy. Save that stuff for the rookie outfits where their drivers can't keep their hands off the phone.
