I was thinking paper or sugar out of GA. Still need to get this load off though. QC had wrong address and it took that location 2 hrs to figure out the load wasnt theirs. Now at correct address...I hope. This place looks grim, not where I would want anything of value left for any length of time.

I came across 40 from 81 to west of Nashville and the traffic was horrendous. Im talking I95 levels of madness. -
Maybe you stay at 68 no matter what the speed limit is or the situation is. There is a lot that can play into it. -
LANES CLOSED ON I-95 SOUTH DUE TO FLOODING
The right lane is closed on I-95 South near Exit 79 (NC-50)
The right lane is closed on I-95 South near Exit 25 (US-301)
From NC DOT web site. You all take care.Redtwin, MidWest_MacDaddy and Finfn1372 Thank this. -
IL to MI to VA... good start coming back out.
Finfn1372 and DrummingTrucker Thank this. -
I'm finally in West Memphis. East bound I-40 just inside Tn is blocked with a major accident.
DrummingTrucker Thanks this. -
I've listed my issues on another post. Now, my driving style is mostly non agressive. I do the speed limit mainly, occasionally +4. When I come up on a rolling jam/NASCAR wannabes event, I'll slow down to 60. Let them get ahead of me, then speed back up to find the event dispersed. I've had other drivers (trainers, even) tell me that I'm too nice when I drive. That, "you need to drive like an #######" to make money.
If that is the case, I made a HUGE mistake by coming bavk out here. Things apparently have changed more, and for the worse, than I thought.
Perhaps I am shooting myself in the foot out here. No matter. I won't be here much longer. I'll try to keep my posts liberal and Disneyfied as much as I can.Lonesome Thanks this. -
You gotta do what's best for you...but if I may give you the most sincere advice I can think of..and I mean you no harm by this..
But from what I've seen and read by you..I don't necessarily think it's Abilene that you may or may not have the problem/issue with. I dont think switching jobs is going to be youre answer. I think once you get another job...you're same problems will follow you. You need to sit back and ponder whether it's you that is fit for this industry..not if Abilene or any other trucking company for that matter is for you.
This job is not cut out for anyone, and it's a hard life..but one must be able to fend for themselves and make decisions on they're own. Again, I don't mean this to down you..I think you're probably a good fellow..but it may be more than you can handle. Whatever route you take..I do wish you the best..and I can probably speak for most people here that they feel the same. Good Luck!!bobtailer, popcorn169, chralb and 3 others Thank this. -
So some may remember that i sat all night waiting on a boarshead load that was never ready a few weeks ago. I put in for detention/layover and idk if ive spotted a leprecon or won the lottery, but they actually paid me something for my time.
And while on the subject of payroll, occasionally things are wrong like missing nyc or extra stops. One time the computer forgot nj was in the northeast! Anyway. Each time a quick email to payroll addressed the matter and within 1 business day i had a response and it was on next check. And usually when something was missing, i had forgotten to write it on cover sheet.
In other news, i get to experience the joy of those hospital loads yall talk so fondly of tomorow morningchralb, DrummingTrucker and MidWest_MacDaddy Thank this. -
