Line five I understand is off duty driving right? What is Schneiders issue with that, I hear they won't let you do it much? Is it whenever you're in proximity to a customer or under an active work assignment?

You can't be pulling a trailer and you can't be headed in the direction of your next load.

Admiral merchant. Bennett. Landstar. Mercer. That's for right off the top of my head.
Sure it's not easy drop and hook. But ya don't deal with dispatchers. Occasionally you got a broker involved, but its not like every load you pull at sch is direct with no broker involved either. The only difference is instead of talking to them yourself, you got to go through some one at sch adding one more person(and probably 2 or 3)in the communication stream, and we all know that the more people involved the more likely it is for miscommunication to happen.

As simple as point and click? Probably not. But is calling and accepting that difficult? Each of those companies are going to be slightly different but the differences are very slight between them. One might be a load board you look at, and click on. Another might be calling a person that tells you what loads they have available. Another might be an agent calls you and says i got loads a b and c, can you help me cover one of them? As for dispatchers, dispatchers don't exist in true owner operator companies.

Like i said in my previous post, I'm not trying to bash your carrier. Im just confused as to why you guys have all these complaints and stay. As a comparison, i know maybe 12 people leased to admiral merchant. 1 guy is always complaining and would be complaining no matter what company he worked for, we all know that type of guy that is never happy. 1 guy is so happy he sounds like a recruiter. The other 10 are making money and generally satisfied with the company. Is everyday perfect? Of course not, but the understand that things happen and when things get screwy they roll with it cause they know the next load will go smooth.

I only have experience in Van and Reefer, Bennett and Admiral are neither of those.
As for Landstar and Mercer for pulling Van, it's okay but the money I've heard and seen is nothing special.
And hey I like my easy drop hooks.. makes short loads a whole lot more worth it too.
I'm not going anywhere unless i know i can make a lot more money which probably means Van is excluded.

Don't worry about the complaining, once the recruiting bonuses fronlm SNI are reinstated most will be thrilled about SNI again.

One thing is that most of the commenters have been IC since that program was birthed or close to it and to see how much it has changed since then is hard to swallow. SNI had a very good thing going originally and it really interests me why the change.
