Then I guess our safety person has it wrong too. I know of two people who have had issues with onthe yard( DC) violations.

Well so far the only thing I'm not liking was the castrated trks. I know I'm not at my last private carrier anymore. But man just the slightest of grade and one has to drop 2 or 3 gears. Not really a major issue, but more pulling pwr would be nice!!!

U asked the driver that mentored me if all trks were the same at every Dc. And he replied they all have the same engine and trans. I know I'm at Walmart, but my last outfit had trks SRT up for the region they ran in. 600 Cummings with 18sp for the mountains. Or 500-550 HP detriots with 13 so for 8k-92k loads in tx.

So as far as mpg I'm sure the Utah, OR, or Appalachian trks don't get good mpg

I'm driving a 2010 this week and it has way more power than the 2017's.

My DC is still running a mix of Cummins and Detroits. My 2010 Detroit drives very different from the new Cummins in the Petes we are getting. ( Me in the next two months if Oklahoma ever gets their act together and sends the plates!) The 2016 Cummins I drove one week impressed me with its pulling, 6% grades etc,lug it like they say and it performs. Slow to accelerate from a stop, yes. WalMart specs for mileage, not power. 2010 Detroit, 7.7 mpg lifetime avg.

The power is pretty much the same , the axle ratio in the new trucks is so high that's what's killing them. I am due for a new truck soon not even excited about that .
