If anyone is in Oklahoma on the I-40, watch out for crazies! A military buddy of mine is a police officer there and I guess there is a guy on the run who is wanted and has AIDS...or some type of disease. Apparently the guy is going around spitting on people and other things to try and spread his disease. He shot a man at the flying j in sayre, OK a few days ago. Totally crazy! Keep the doors locked!

 

Well that's it I'm stayin at the TA...seriously hopefully he's off the street soon...

Since he was shot dead I tend to agree with ya...I'm just sorry for the tragedy he brought into so many lives...

 

I guess I was due for this load. I have been getting lucky with the deliveries lately (with the exception of the Safeway a couple weeks ago)...but my 1st stop of 3 today. Associated Wholesale Grocers in OKC. 3 hours after my appointment before I get a door, no pallet count for the lumpers to set a price, and I am due in Pauls Valley at 545...not sure I am going to make it. I should have expected this as soon as I saw who the 1st stop was (actually I did expect this, which is why I am not flying off the handle with one of my typical "woe is me" rants.) Honestly, I can't remember ever having a positive experience at an AWG location...but that's the life of a reefer driver. (I am looking for a bumper sticker or window decal that says "reefer drivers know how to keep their cool")....ohmmmmmm......ohmmmmmmmm..... ohmmmm

 

I don't know how you guys do it. All that waiting would drive me nuts.

Here's my day today......get to the yard, grab an mt trlr, go 20 miles to pu number one, then go ten miles in the wrong direction to pu number two, then head for TN for two deliveries tonight 590 miles from here. At least the deliveries are right across the street from each other.

Nope. Still at stop 1. Almost 7 hours after my appointment, and they aren't getting that much...imagine how long it would take if they had a whole trailer. This place will NOT be on my Christmas card list

 

Enjoy the steak...yeah sucks when they can't get you out in a reasonable time
