Typically a pretty easy run, Jamestown usually has you loaded early and I'll drop you a line on the parking and procedure at Sygma...

Yesterday was probably one of the most frustrating days I have had in a while. Not only did I have the long detention, but I had OSD (on a Jennie-O load...big shocker there), but I got empty just as Ashley was going to lunch, so I kinda had a delay in finding out if they wanted me to donate the rejected freight to a food bank or to the dumpster. I was on the verge of getting grumpy, but I had to reassure myself several times that it wasn't as bad as it seemed. As many positive days as I have had lately, one rough day is to be expected in this biz. Just like I said a few weeks ago, one good month doesn't qualify as a turnaround, likewise one bad day doesn't kill a turnaround either. I guess the positive thing was, I wasn't planning on running many miles to start with, I made almost $100 in detention, and I have at least 1 turkey pot roast I will keep for a crockpot dinner this week. So hopefully yesterday was my down day for this tour of duty and things will continue on a positive trend.

I'm taking a load from NJ into the depths of Chicago (Preferred Freezer). Looks like there is a Pilot pretty close, but it's pretty wimpy. Anyone know of a good place to park in the area? I can be there anywhere from tomorrow afternoon to my appointment at 1000 on the 3rd. Maybe it's better to go through Chicago at night? Is there a good time slot to aim for?

Maybe it's better to park outide Chicago and drive in straight to consignee? But when? I don't want to sit in traffic forever if it's avoidable.

Has anyone ever had a load out of Barron who's trailer DIDN'T look like it was used for a trash dumpster once it was empty?? I cannot believe that we bring them our trailers that dirty and they load them

With that kind of time, stay out at the Flying J at Lake Station. Head in around 0900.
