    Gosh dagnamit @MJ1657! What did I tell you about leaving your loads laying around the load boards for real drivers to get stuck with? 20161116_095020.jpg

    I didn't realize the picture was so bad. Those are steel stair stringers. All getting hand loaded.

    The upside/downside is they're going to Fairburn ga which is only 860 miles away and my appointment isn't till 0700 to 0730 friday. Which puts me at just 2200 miles for the week. So I just called the wife and asked her to drive down here for a lunch date since I won't be home till thanksgiving. And to think I thought my dispatcher was kidding when he said I was good to go on hometime till thanksgiving 2 weeks ago. :mad:

    @Chewy352
    We were loading poles with an excavator with tongs off a chain, from the ### end of the trailer...which is not a good way to do it- even in the tight spot we were in. Tight driveway back behind my buddy's equipment repair facility. That has been a heavy equipment repair facility for like 45 years.
    So we're using this antiquated piece of machinery, screaming along at the speed of steam power it seemed-?between the slow loud progress and the pouring rain against angry faces-
    Get all tied down and I'm backing out of a narrow driveway in the pitch black: some douchebag is shining a spotlight down the driveway right into my eyes. I just kept going. He moved. Tried to get puffy and proud when I swung it out into the street
    "We are getting reports of heavy equipment operating in the neighborhood"
    ~WHAT? I CANT HEAR YOU OVER THE STRAIGHTPIPES
    "Are you operating heavy equipment back there?!!"
    ~ITS A HEAVY EQUIPMENT YARD. I'M HERE PICKING UP MY TRAILER.

    BRAPPP BRAPPPP BRAPPP BRAPPPPPPP

    His yard is far from ideal- but #### the people that move in right next door n then "well why is it so loud? How come there's trucks there and sometimes loud noises? I want to live in the country! Waaaaah"
    If you want quiet- move somewhere away from people, that isn't next to a repair shop, or a ####ing railroad or factory or whatever other cliche loud environment.

    So we got all the poles off- used a tractor with forks this time. Much better! moved equipment around the farm here, loaded some stuff up going back south. Waiting for him to finish locking up so he can ride back with me...
    Hope he likes outlaw country: that pop country ######## doesn't play on my radio
