Apparently not, or we wouldn't be having this discussion.

Like I already stated I'm not a trucker yet... but it seems to me if it is registered as a CMV it's a CMV trailer or not.

You either have common sense or don't.

Seriously?????Doesn't take a rocket scientist to know the difference and understand what signs means. As a truck driver you're suppose to know these things, its called using your brain and common since which can not be taught in school.I spose if I looked I could find a link but I don't want to.With respect if you don't know the difference maybe you shouldn't be driving.

That's cause there is no link or legal writings anywhere saying a "no trucks sign" means exactly the same thing as a "no tractor trailers" sign.

Still waiting for proof of these claims.

That's like saying a Stop sign means the same thing as a no trespassing sign.
    That's how ridiculous this is.

Issues like this can be easily solved with wordings on such signs to read "no trucks over 5 tons".

Instead, according to some here we're supposed to able to read the intentions of both the general public AND someone who had a sign printed that clearly doesn't say what it means based on references to "common sense".

When I see a sign that says "no tractor trailers" in a parking lot, I think they don't want the islands getting ran over by trailer wheels.

What some choose to blithely dismiss as some sort of lack of "common sense" is a more subjective thing than is apparently realized.

If they didn't want trucks like mine all they would have to do is post a sign that says (as above) "no trucks over 5 tons".

That would specifically include me with and without a trailer.

Naming out a tractor trailer could lead one to believe that their box truck is fine or that their truck without a trailer is fine.
A "no tractor trailer" sign is specific to the type of vehicle not allowed.
There are types signs that are all encompassing which should have been used if their objective was to ban many types of trucks.

How hard is this to understand folks? :violent3:
