I could have sworn I was told in orientation we were bumped to performance pay after 90 days. This is my fault for not going to the source (Ops Manager) to get accurate info. But I thought it was 90 days, then I heard 4 months. So I worked myself up and got all excited. I called Chad this morning and he says there is a performance review at 6 months and then I can go on performance pay. I currently feel like someone kicked my imaginary puppy.

I'm picking up in Grand Forks right now...going to New Jersey. As I type this, I just got my preplan out of New Jersey... back to Grand Forks lol. I didn't even have to ask.

While this pay news feels like a punch to the gut, I'm still running my ### off and getting paid well in my opinion. I'm still meeting my financial goals and having a great time. I must have misheard some information somewhere. I truly believe nobody here is out to get me. I should have asked Chad in the beginning how it works before I got myself all excited.

Ahhh.. I'm at 36th st. Still have a green light. Looks like I got the short straw today lol detention starts in 29 minutes!

 

Someone made an oopsie and dropped an LTL trailer without putting landing gear down this morning in the yard in Fargo. I got a picture of it, but I'm afraid it might be turned into a negative trucker meme with Magnums logo on it... so I don't want to post it here lol

 

That's not a Negative, it'sa learning experience!

I was loaded and rolling before you got there. I'm posting from Watertown SD already.... lol

 

I had to sit home an extra day because the port was closed over thanksgiving. I still ended up picking up in memphis. I get there, and the shipper has two magnum loads going to the same place. They promptly loaded the wrong load on my trailer. Fortunately, there was a dropped trailer there and I just switched trailers. Unfortunately, I had to wait the extra time for them to work that one into their loading schedule. Six hours after I arrived, I was putting in my first detention request since I started working here. At least they let me ten hour on site. I delivered yesterday morning in Champlin, mn. I noticed this trailer had a damaged chute, so I asked to swap it with another trailer. I already had to go to coon rapids to pick up my new license plate. Now I'm sitting in gaylord waiting to get loaded to dyersburg, tn. I took this shorter run because I'm battling a head cold and this run gives me a chance to rest and get over it. Otherwise, I'd have loaded yesterday for Aberdeen, md.

 

Sitting here at Lineage Logistics in Fort Worth and it blows, my load info said they require a empty scale ticket so I called to confirm that and was told no I didn't need it I thought ok great. I get here and the first thing they ask for is a scale ticket, told them I called and was told I didn't need one and was told the lady who told me i didn't need one didn't know what she was doing(so why make her answer the phone?). So I had to spend 1.5 hrs from the shipper to the pilot 12 miles away and then back again. Gave me a door but I have to wait for the yard guy to come by and tell me it's ok to back in so I wait for 45 min watching this guy drive around the lot talking on his phone. So I flag him down and ask if I can back in yet and was told not yet and then this guy parks his yard dog gets in his car and drives off. Went into the office and told them about the yard guy and they didn't know he left or why and they called me to back in the door some time ago apparently, guess his phone call is more important than his job.
