Hello I Hope some 1 Can help me with rand mcnally tnd tablet 80 it started takeing updates yesturda
now it keeps saying no router found check truck info i have called them the walked me through deleting
some files to force it to update again i have done this now 3 times but does not help if an 1 know of some sorta file
package i can manualy install please help dont want to buy new gps and also dont want to trust google too much
any help would be great i also tryed Factory Reset That also was a joke and no Help

 

It does require a high speed Hotspot If you are using truck stop or local WiFi when on the road you may not have the speed you need 4 lte is strongly preferred. You will have to delete that file again to force the update.

I am not at home, but look back a few pages on the support thread for the PDF that details the update. It is on RM's website also.

Google will not bring back the details you need.

Resetting will not resolve the issue .

It sounds like you started the download on a low speed connection and got dropped.

Problem Solved Had To ( Uninstall ) ( RM & Truck GPS ) And Files Tech Support Spoke OF
Then Rebooted it did Fresh Updates All is Fine now .

I need some help this is my third gps of the tnd80 tablet. The truck icon when I'm driving spin around and glitches and looses signal sometimes and it puts me out in the ditches or woods off the interstate. And I register it and I got a email but when you go to the info it says not registered I'm confused? And it won't update either but my gps says that my navi was last updated on 7/2016 and my table version doesn't match the one on rm website under the update version. And when I try to get on rm market it won't recognize my email unless i only put co at the end instead of .com. Any help would be greatly appreciated I have tried to talk to support people and they keep telling me to send it in but I need a gps for my job and I don't have another gps unit.

 

Make sure you are on a high speed Hotspot before you do This.

Click the 9 dots in the upper right - settings - then down to factory reset. make sure you delete all.

Verify your E-Mail after you type it in. What you enter is how the server sees it.

Register and then you will see an update for RM Services, install. Then upper left swipe down and you should see a 3.9 gb update. Install, DO NOT DO ANYTHING when the updates are installing, meaning do not load any more apps or try to log into other apps till it has finished.

Where is the tablet located? Air pressure devices, dash cams, and CB's will interfere with the GPS antenna. It is on the back

I have done the factory reset and still does not work or say it is register. It sits in the middle of my windshield, my bc is up in a compartment not near the gps, my peoplenet and ez pass and pre pass are about two feet from the antenna. Rm keeps telling me I need to send it in to get a flash or the new software on here but it is weird that this is the third one I got and it does the same each time and won't let me update or it says I'm not registered.

 

And mark I forgot to say yes I was using a very good hot spot was lte 4g
