Hey everybody I just want to share my experience and give a big thanks to all drivers who always go the extra mile to help a fellow driver, in my case I was having one of them days backing up to this customer who I have been there many times but for some reason that day I just could not get in, plus there's only so much room as one side is a ditch and the other side is full and tight with trailers. short and sweet this cool driver from SAIA instead of sitting around and watch me struggle he got off his cab and point out what I was doing wrong and coached me, after I had place the trailer into the right spot it made me realize the trucking brotherhood still there, good thing he wasn't one of them folks taking a video to post it on you tube as we all seen one just to bash on a driver.

Again thanks to all the drivers who always help those in need.

I dont get the whole YouTube videoing guys backing thing.Everyone has their moments.

I had a route yesterday with several blindsides off the road into stupid little docks made for box trucks. I stuck the 53' in every hole with no problems.

My back haul was a D&H in a huge yard with all the real estate in the world. It took me 5 pull ups/ resets to stick the trailer in the hole. WTF? I just laughed at myself.

Can't imagine what goes through those you tubers heads when they pull out their phone to video a guy having trouble hitting a spot.

@Driver0000 It seems to me as if they are compensating for something missing in their life. Maybe it makes them feel better about their own shortcomings and screw ups.
Or maybe their mommy didn't love them as much as they needed.:D
Last fella that I heard use that line came to an abrupt, untimely, and unpleasant end!

    Like Bigdon says...........

See, Life itself seemed to derail somewhere back in the late 90's.......You have Angry people everywhere, Folks are in nothing but a Hurry......Even simple things like Chivalry is gone.

What happened? Why do people get excited on someone elses demise?

There's an answer to this..But Im not sure what it is

Is it because it takes 2 incomes per household?
Is it because People (in general) Cant live their Lives? cant obtain the American dream fairly?
Is it Parents giving up on raising kids properly? proper education?

Theres an answer to why society,in general, has become this way.

Just once I want to see a Youtube backing video where they guy's actually filming himself showing someone how to back in. A little GoPro mounted to the head and you're good to roll!!

The whole cellphone video thing is getting old and tacky. It kills me whenever a cool thing is going down and I'm the only guy that pulls out a full-sized, Canon T6 Rebel. All the kids, and even some of the adults are like, "WHAT IS THAT WEIRD, HIDEOUS, MONSTROSITY?!?!?"

I don't believe the why, is nearly as important as, can it be fixed? I may be looking at the world through whatever color glasses, but I think that the pendulum is starting to swing back the other way, at least a little bit.
But as to the why, there are so many causes, everything from kids getting everything they want, so they have the entitlement mentality, to the entertainment industry that glorifies sex and violence. (OK, maybe there's nothing wrong with sex...):D to all the advertisements that throw "you need it, you deserve it, and you should have it NOW!"
OTOH, I doubt there has ever been a generation since the early history of man, when parents didn't look at their kids generation and shake their heads.

This is a tough old world, and the fact is, that we as a nation, have gotten "soft," unable to handle things that our forefathers took in stride on a daily basis.
I got ragged on for my stance on suicide, in another thread, talking about how so many veterans were committing suicide daily. I am aware of this, but the fact is, that those veterans, (GOD BLESS THEM ALL!)
didn't see many things that preceding generations didn't see. Now, it seem that everyone who has ever even HEARD of an act of violence has PTSD.
I'm not discounting the truth to this. BUT, it is how it is handled. In earlier times, if someone couldn't mentally handle living, they did not have psychologists and psychiatrists and a million different kinds of medicine to control anger, fear and depression. Today, we are blessed, (cursed, perhaps,) with all of this, and people are still killing themselves. And a lot of them are killing each other.
    It is a sad situation.
I'll likely catch hell for this post as well, I suppose.
