Signed with them about 2 months ago as a company driver.
After phase 1 and phase 2 training, I sat for 8 total days. Unpaid and not allowed to go home. By the time I did get home I was gone for 7 weeks and only allowed 2 days home. Mostly east cost routes. Lots of back roads. Lucky if you get 2000 miles in a week. When you do get a longer run it is spread out over too many days. No APU's or Inverters on trucks. Sticklers for MPG's(even though they don't compensate you for it). Most Fleet Managers think of themselves as "Gods". They are always right and you are always wrong. The lack of communication is laughable. The insurance package is very, very expensive. Well over $100.00 per week. They will screw you out of detention and layover pay. The terminal in Alsip, IL has the worst run maintenance staff imaginable. After I gave them 2 week notice - they ran me 50-200 miles a day. My last day was over 45 days ago and guess what - Im still waiting for my last paycheck. Accounting department is just not willing to talk to you. I do not recommend the company to anyone.

Another Chicago area company. Sorry for your luck, driver.

with 30 plus yrs in this biz, I have worked for co's that hire college punks for dispatchers (no, say it ain't so !)that use an atlas to route you. And don't get me started on shop personnel. $9.00/hr diesel school rejects in most places. Considering all the "flunkies" working for trucking co's (including drivers) it's a wonder this business survives. I've always wondered how a truck co sales team actually "sells" their service to a potential shipper.........like, "hi, Mr. shipper, our co with it's so-so dispatch system and so-so drivers and so-so mechanics WANT your business. Hopefully, we'll get your product to the other end undamaged and on time" Har-har
Snoogler, speedyk, Broke Down 69 and 1 other person Thank this. -
