I can't imagine too many drivers LIKE to throw iron. But sometime, it is just part of the job.

Agreed. I haven't met many that do, but I know some that are very fast and proud of it. I have respect for you and those that drive for a living and have to put up with all the craziness inherent to the profession.

    Merry Christmas

Not me! I'm retired and living down in SW Utah. We seldom even SEE snow here, and when we do, it's great to watch it out the window of the HOUSE, rather than the windshield of a truck!

I don't like to chain but it's part of the job. We either do it or find a new job

Not difficult at all. If it was required to put bread on my family's table, I wouldn't think twice. I will admit to chaining my cop car once. :)

Ran up 395 Sunday...electronic reader boards were showing "Snow and Ice Drive with Caution" starting in Lone Pine. BS!!!! Dusty dry all the way....you could see the snow line above 9000'...nothing at all even at Conway Summit (south of Bridgeport/north of Mono Lake)....never seen Mono Lake so low! Mt. McKinley doesn't even have snow on the top....sad! There was a little evidence of plow push buildup around the Mammoth area but that was all!

Big Don, dca and Lepton1 Thank this.
