I can't imagine too many drivers LIKE to throw iron. But sometime, it is just part of the job.

I don't like to chain but it's part of the job. We either do it or find a new job

it's really not to difficult to throw em on and take em off . or is it ?

I can hang 4 singles in less than 30 minutes( two on tractor/two on trailer)
FerrissWheel, otherhalftw and dca Thank this. -
Not difficult at all. If it was required to put bread on my family's table, I wouldn't think twice. I will admit to chaining my cop car once.
Big Don, otherhalftw, dca and 1 other person Thank this. -
dca Thanks this.

Ran up 395 Sunday...electronic reader boards were showing "Snow and Ice Drive with Caution" starting in Lone Pine. BS!!!! Dusty dry all the way....you could see the snow line above 9000'...nothing at all even at Conway Summit (south of Bridgeport/north of Mono Lake)....never seen Mono Lake so low! Mt. McKinley doesn't even have snow on the top....sad! There was a little evidence of plow push buildup around the Mammoth area but that was all!
