I hauled water, so not completely inexperienced, just didn't haul sand. Been otr for a year and a half so I'll be almost 3 yrs total by the time I go back if it picks up

Work is still up and down with most sand hauling companies and most companies that are hiring have high turnover due to inconsistent work another problem with alot of these sand hauling companies is that as soon as they get a rush of work they panic and go on hiring sprees then a week later when things slow they have too many drivers and not enough work then ppl quit it's a never ending cycle but with the recent opec decision I do expect prices to slowly rise over the next yr but this also heavily depends on continued drawdowns of us oil inventories. The inventory reports have alot to do with the current market prices so we'll have to wait and see. It's pretty busy north and south of Midland also from Carlsbad NM to just south of Pecos TX is pretty busy as well I'm interested to see how all the new production over the last few weeks will affect inventory over the 1st quarter next year hope this helps good luck!

I'll probably go back to water since it's more stable.

It's more stable when things are booming...but so is sand. Right now, water hauling is hit and miss. You all will be busy running water to a rig that lost circulation one day, and be sent home the next day because the other shift picked up the (all of) 5 batteries that had water in them.
