And more snow. I have already driven thru more snow this winter than I did all last winter. Made it thru Chicago just as it was starting what a mess.
Rush hour in Chicago will be a nightmare as the stuff was already starting to stick to the road.

I was in mini panic mode about my MPG. But after talking to my trainer and someone at the shop, as well as hearing all the comments on the forum here it makes me feel better. :) As a newbie, I kinda figured my MPG would take a hit, but I didn't realize how much all this little stuff could add up (wind, tire pressure, type of fuel, load balancing, etc). My MPG was already taking a hit for a week or two while I figured out one of my tires had a very slow leak and had to add air a couple times to catch it. Then I got it repaired...and rolled right into these frigid temperatures and a new kind of fuel. I was almost convinced something was wrong with my truck. Maybe I can go back to enjoying driving and not constantly worrying about my MPG.

Even if all things were equal like the type of fuel you would still get worse mpg in cold weather. The colder the air the more dense it is which increases the drag

The Base Cold Storage (American Cold Storage) in Tulsa, OK is tight! Don't bother coming here early. It's right off the highway in a downtown area, tucked in a little corner. No room for anyone to be here early! Good thing I called ahead. If there's no room for you to squeeze into the parking lot, you're either stopping in the street or going downtown. There are guys out here directing traffic. "Ok, you pull forward so this guy can back up, so that guy can get out of the dock, so you can get into door 9." Lol they sure are nice people though and seem to be working well with the limited space.

Lol that's Bamma Cold Storage, it's not that bad, we definitely have worse. They're pretty cool and yeah not much room to wait though you can get to the Flying J if you need to...

I had 7.85 in November. That's with 8 new drive tires.. which seems to steal a few 10ths....
Only had 9500 miles in November... with a full week off for Thanksgiving...

once all the trucks clear out there's plenty of room. But when I got there, all the doors were full and there were 5 trucks including me on deck.

Computer says base cold storage and that's how they answer the phone.
Sign on the building says American Cold Storage.
    Writing inside says Bama.
They're suffering an identity crisis! Lol!

I had 7.78 MPG and 12,541 miles in November with 0 ghost miles and 0 days home. As you know, I never go home so I have that advantage. :)

If you have a breakdown, layover or vacation day you are given your daily average miles for that day. You don't get paid those miles but they are figured into your monthly average. It's all part of the 'pay by performance' equation...
