Oh I no longer drive because of epilepsy. When I talk about my cell phone I am talking about being out on foot observing. Most of the time I get a friend to drive me or I will buy a HRT Day pass.
Do you report bad drivers?

I know it's petty, but am I the only one who cringes when I hear or read someone calling it a Quailcomm? Hell, even my phone autocorrects that. It's Qualcomm.

For speeding I don't especially at night. I don't consider myself to be a perfect driver all the time but I do my best to always be safe.
I do however have no problem making a call to law enforcement if I see something that is endangering other people on the road as well as the driver.
I called in a truck around 3:30am on hwy 99 down by Fresno because he was going 40 mph and bouncing from in the slow lane to the shoulder. It was obvious that the driver was tired. I followed him for awhile and tried to get his attention which I think I did because he pulled into the next rest area.
I don't want to mess with anyone's livelihood and I try to give someone the benefit of the doubt. I just look at like how would I feel if my wife and daughter were out here on the road, would I be comfortable with them driving around this situation. -
It's pretty simple to me, four wheelers don't care about us, bears don't care about us, and if you work for a mega the company definitely doesn't care about us, if we don't look out for each other who will?
There's going to be idiots, all the time, forever. report one next day its someone else. report one of us, that's one less person who's going to have your back in a worst case scenario. Or are you so divided from everyone else that it's just one less person to underbid a rate or work for cheap?
Okay whatever, you go ahead and roll your truck and I'll drive by because i know you got a Qualcomm and a cell phone , I'm sure there's nothing wrong with you, ambulance will be there in an hour or two when they plow off that mess you got caught in.
Oh yeah, I'll just join the club from now on and when you didn't get sleep because two old refers parked next to you I'll call you in, maybe if the bear is having a good day he tells you to park it, but if he just had a fight with his wife now you can't pay your mortgage or feed your kid.Brettj3876 and alghazi Thank this. -
I called in on a driver the other day. He could not hold his lane. He almost hit the left rear of my trailer 3-4 times and he was in the other lane. I finally moved onto the shoulder and slowed to get him past me. He got back into the right lane and was over on the shoulder then in the left lane partially. By partially I mean a full set of duals at the minimum. Speeders, no I won't unless they are passing me at a high rate of speed while I am running 80 mph.

I've been shut down before because of lack of sleep, I know what that's like. I went to my boss one morning a couple years ago after I caught myself driving down the gorepoint of an offramp at 60 mph and swerving over before I ran into the sign in the middle of it. He put me out of service until I could get to my doctor and come up with a solution. I missed a week's worth of work, but with my doctor's help, we figured out a plan to get me back on track. So I've been there.
As to your last point, if a driver is out there who didn't get to sleep because of one circumstance or another, I'm sorry for the driver. But that doesn't mean he or she gets some kind of "pass" if they're weaving down the road. If that driver wrecks, and seriously hurts or kills himself, or someone else, he's not going to be able to pay the mortgage or feed his kid now, is he?speedyk Thanks this.
